The event was attended by Dr. Pham Thi My Hanh (Director of Viet Duc's Reproductive Health Division), MSc. BSNT Luu Xuan Ky (Head of the Viet Duc Lab), alongside other doctors and nurses from the hospital. From GENTIS, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh (Director of the Testing Center) and Mr. Pham Dinh Minh (Director of R&D) participated in the seminar.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh had presented GENTIS’s detailed PGT packages namely PGT-A/SR, PGT-M, PGT-Max 1 and their effectiveness in optimizing the chances of a healthy pregnancy for infertile couples. A key highlight of the seminar was the discussion about the benefits of PGT testing in supporting reproductive health. According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, the test not only helps to detect genetic abnormalities but also reduces the risk of miscarriage, increases the success rate of in vitro fertilization (IVF), and assists in selecting healthy embryos for implantation.
PGT testing can also help couples avoid difficult and heartbreaking situations, such as dealing with an unhealthy pregnancy or the birth of a child with a serious genetic disorder. This is particularly beneficial for older couples or those with a history of genetic conditions, as PGT serves as a valuable tool in reducing these risks.
During the seminar, doctors at Viet Duc General Hospital raised several questions related to GENTIS’s PGT testing and services such as : "How is the PGT-A/SR, PGT-M, PGT-Max 1 process carried out at GENTIS?" and "Is NIPT testing required after undergoing PGT?". In response, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh and Mr. Pham Dinh Minh provided detailed answers, focusing on the key aspects, which helped the doctors gain a better understanding of the PGT testing packages at GENTIS.
The seminar took place in a lively atmosphere and received positive feedback from the attending doctors. Dr. Pham Thi My Hanh expressed her appreciation, stating, "We sincerely thank GENTIS for organizing such a useful seminar. The doctors from the Reproductive Medicine Department at Viet Duc General Hospital have gained new knowledge about PGT testing, especially advanced genetic screening methods and their clinical applications at GENTIS."
The seminar introducing preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) at Viet Duc General Hospital (Phu Tho) provided doctors with valuable updates in the fields of reproductive support and the diagnosis of genetic abnormalities. PGT is not only an advancement in medical science but also brings hope to many infertile families in their journey to have a healthy child.
With the development of genetic analysis technology and the clinical application of PGT, couples now have more opportunities to have healthy children, reduce genetic risks, and improve their quality of life. This event not only helped doctors enhance their professional knowledge but also contributed to the further development of the healthcare sector, particularly in reproductive medicine in Vietnam.
It is hoped that following this seminar, GENTIS and Viet Duc General Hospital (Phu Tho) will continue to expand their collaboration for the development of both institutions.
