The seminar was honored to welcome the leadership and medical team of TNH Pho Yen Hospital, together with representatives from Eurofins GENTIS. Representing TNH Pho Yen Hospital were Assoc. Prof. PhD, MD Pham Thi Hong Van – Director of Training, Scientific Research and Quality Management at TNH Hospital Group Joint Stock Company; Dr. Le Van Minh, Specialist Level I – Deputy Director of TNH Pho Yen Hospital; Dr. Tran Xuan Truong, Specialist Level II – Deputy Director of TNH Pho Yen Hospital; along with physicians, medical laboratory specialists, nurses, and midwives from the hospital.
Representing Eurofins GENTIS, MSc., Resident Physician in Genetics Vu Thu Huong, a specialist in genetics, delivered the scientific presentation and shared the latest updates on the applications of NIPT, HPV E-Prep, and preeclampsia risk assessment testing.

The participation of specialists and physicians created an open and dynamic scientific discussion, focusing on practical professional topics. Through updated presentations and discussion sessions, the program not only provided new knowledge on advanced laboratory testing techniques but also offered healthcare professionals an opportunity to share practical experience, contributing to the effective application of diagnostic and screening solutions in reproductive healthcare and pregnancy management.
At the seminar, participants received in-depth updates on three groups of tests that are widely applied in obstetrics and gynecology.
NIPT – Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing
The presentation provided updates on NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing), a non-invasive prenatal screening method based on the analysis of cell-free fetal DNA in maternal blood.
NIPT enables early assessment of the risk of fetal chromosomal abnormalities with high accuracy, without increasing the risk of harm to the pregnancy. The implementation of advanced NIPT solutions supports physicians in providing counseling and managing pregnancies more effectively, particularly for pregnant women at increased risk or those seeking early prenatal screening.
HPV E-Prep: Enhancing the Effectiveness of Cervical Cancer Screening
The application of the combined HPV and E-Prep testing approach was one of the topics that attracted considerable attention during the seminar.
According to current recommendations, HPV testing helps detect the presence of high-risk HPV types, while E-Prep is a liquid-based cytology technique used to assess cervical cellular abnormalities. The two methods complement each other, supporting the early detection of precancerous lesions and cervical cancer and helping physicians determine appropriate follow-up and management strategies for each patient.
Preeclampsia Risk Assessment Testing
The seminar also provided updates on the assessment of preeclampsia risk, one of the serious obstetric complications that can significantly affect the health of both the mother and fetus.
The application of advanced biomarkers and other modern testing approaches in preeclampsia risk assessment enables physicians to identify pregnancies at increased risk at an early stage, thereby supporting the development of appropriate monitoring, preventive, and intervention strategies to minimize potential complications during pregnancy.

Beyond knowledge updates, the seminar also provided an opportunity for physicians and specialists to exchange practical experience in implementing laboratory tests at healthcare facilities, discuss clinical scenarios, and share optimized approaches to pregnancy care and gynecological disease screening.
Through scientific training and professional collaboration with hospitals nationwide, Eurofins GENTIS continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting healthcare professionals in the application of advanced testing technologies, contributing to improved diagnosis, treatment support, and community healthcare.
Eurofins GENTIS sincerely thanks the leadership and medical team of TNH Pho Yen Hospital for their participation and valuable professional contributions, which contributed to the success of the program. Eurofins GENTIS looks forward to continuing to collaborate with healthcare institutions in upcoming scientific activities, bringing advanced testing solutions to support the effective delivery of healthcare services to the community.
