In the medical field, the quality of tests plays a crucial role in helping doctors screen, diagnose and provide the most effective treatment for patients. The event of GENTIS receiving the Certificate of Accreditation continues to maintain ISO 15189:2012 for GenEva services and expands ISO 15189:2012 for 3 services: NIPT, PGT A, Thalassemia Neonatal Screening once again affirms the quality of safe and effective testing services for Vietnamese citizens.
ISO 15189:2012 is a system that guides the control of all 3 stages before, during and after of the testing process and issues related to testing, bringing officials to perform quality control tests complying to a mandatory procedure. The application of ISO 15189:2012 standard is a reliable basis to help doctors when offering the most appropriate and effective treatment method for patients.

To achieve ISO 15189:2012, GENTIS must meet a lot of requirements in terms of management capacity, equipment, personnel competence and process compliance.... However, maintaining accreditation also requires the Company to continue to make further efforts to maintain its capacity, techniques, as well as maintain the quality system. families whose members were killed in the fire of
a mini apartment in Khuong Ha
Genetic Analysis Services Joint Stock Company (GENTIS) would like to send the most sincere condolences to the victims and families in the mini apartment fire that occurred on September 12, 2023 in Khuong Ha. The tragic accident and the sudden death of a loved one have left families with irreparable pain and loss.
With the desire to alleviate some of the pain for those who stay, GENTIS would like to support the families of the victims to do free DNA testing to determine blood relations (fathers and children, mothers and children, grandchildren, grandmothers, brothers and sisters, maternal and paternal relatives, etc.) to find their relatives in case they cannot be identified due to fire.
This small support of GENTIS hopes to partly help families reduce their grief and quickly find relatives to bring back to their hometowns.

[content] => The Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference is an annual event of the healthcare system in the Mekong Delta region, organized by Can Tho Maternity Hospital, serving as a platform for healthcare professionals from Vietnam and around the world to exchange knowledge and experiences in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
The Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference attracted a significant number of obstetricians and gynecologists from both domestic and international institutions.
Attendees of the 8th Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference included Specialist Level II Dr. Nguyen Huu Du, Director of Can Tho Maternity Hospital; Prof. Nguyen Viet Tien M.D, PhD, former Vice Minister of Health and President of the Vietnam Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology; Prof. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong M.D, PhD, President of HOSREM HCMC; Assoc. Prof. Tran Danh Cuong M.D, PhD, Director of the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Head of the Obstetrics Department at Hanoi Medical University, along with numerous other experts from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, the United States, France, and Korea.
The conference was highly regarded for its organization and the quality of its scientific presentations, which showcased significant advancements in the field. The 8th Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference featured one plenary session and eight scientific sessions, with a total of 62 research papers were presented, covering a wide range of topics such as obstetrics, gynecology, assisted reproduction, neonatology, and prenatal screening.
Notably, the conference expanded its scope to include emerging topics such as fetal medicine, menopause, natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery, pregnancy nutrition, and prenatal yoga, as well as international presentations. These scientific presentations were the result of extensive research and clinical experience by leading experts from major hospitals across the country and abroad.
GENTIS is honored to have provided the andrology testing data for Mai Ba Tien Dung, M.D, PhD's article on "Updates on male infertility and the role of genetics."
In the Assisted Reproductive Technology session, Mai Ba Tien Dung M.D, PhD (Head of Andrology Department at Binh Dan Hospital in HCM city), presented his research on "Updates on male infertility and the role of genetics," which was highly regarded by experts. GENTIS is proud to have provided the andrology testing data for this research.
Mai Ba Tien Dung M.D, PhD shared, according to the WHO, infertility is defined as the inability of a couple to conceive after one year of regular unprotected intercourse (for women under 35) or six months (for women aged 35 and over). Approximately 1 in 6 couples worldwide experience infertility at some point in their lives. Male infertility accounts for about 40-50% of infertility cases and affects 2.5-12% of men. In Vietnam, the infertility rate among young couples is currently 7.7%. Of these, primary infertility accounts for 3.9% and secondary infertility for 3.8% (Ministry of Health, 2019).
Chromosomal abnormalities have been linked to male infertility since the 1990s. It is estimated that 15-30% of male infertility cases are associated with chromosomal abnormalities. These abnormalities can affect sperm production, shape, and motility, as well as hormone levels and physical appearance. Additionally, chromosomal aneuploidies in sperm (such as trisomy 13, 18, 21, X, and Y) can lead to recurrent miscarriages, fetal abnormalities, and infertility in the next generation. Therefore, genetic testing is essential for diagnosing the causes of male infertility and is highly valued by healthcare professionals in the evaluation and treatment of infertile couples.
The scientific presentations delivered by the speakers at the conference were highly commended by experts.

The prenatal class had the participation of Specialist Level 1 Dr. Hoang Dang Thong - Deputy Head of the Obstetrics Department; Ms. Bui Thi Diem - Head Midwife; Pharmacist Duong Thi Phuong - Head of Product Management (PM), representative of GENTIS company and more than 50 parents are consulting in the obstetrics department at the hospital.
In the class, the expectant mothers were able to share knowledge about pregnancy safety, common problems as well as how to handle them in each stage of pregnancy, instructions for newborn care, etc. The program with useful knowledge, received enthusiastic support from the participating parents
Especially, Pharmacist Duong Thi Phuong brought a lecture on NIPT EVa prenatal malformation screening test and newborn screening, which is the topic drawing the most interest from pregnant mothers nowadays. Those pregnant moms listened attentively as well as asked a lot of questions about the two tests above and received the answers in great detail.
The NIPT GenEva prenatal malformation screening test detects aneuploidy abnormalities on all 23 pairs of chromosomes of the baby from the mother's 10 weeks of pregnancy, to detect common-seen syndromes such as Down, Edwards, Patau, etc. Some pregnant mothers who participated in the class also shared that they had done NIPT tests for their babies and felt much more secure during pregnancy.
Newborn screening uses a blood sample from the baby's heel to check for early detection of diseases such as G6PD deficiency, congenital hypothyroidism, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, galactosemia, phenylketonuria, hemoglobin, etc. As a result, there is a timely treatment plan, preventing the conditions from worsening and becoming more difficult to manage. Neonatal screening tests help minimize treatment costs and reduce the burden on families and society.
Under the meticulous explanation of Pharmacist Phuong, parents have clearly understood the importance of testing, some parents registered for newborn screening tests for their children at the obstetrics department of the hospital.
